Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

ammino.ai (the "Service") is operated by Allygent Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies wherever you use the Service, and additional information for users in Quebec, the United Kingdom, and certain US states appears below. Questions? Email [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Account information - your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
  • Practice data - audio and video recordings of your practice sessions, transcripts of what is said, and the scores and feedback generated for each session. Recordings of your voice and video are sensitive to you, and we collect them only with your express consent, which you give by affirmatively agreeing on the consent screen shown before a practice session begins. If you do not consent to recording, you will not be able to use the practice feature.
  • Usage and technical data - log data, IP address, and basic device/browser information needed to run and secure the Service.
  • How you found us - when you create an account we record the campaign tags in the link you arrived through, the website that referred you (the site's name only, never the full address you came from), and the first page you landed on. This is stored once, on your first visit, and is not updated afterwards. Where the law where you live requires consent for this, we collect it only after you agree through our cookie banner.
  • Payment information - handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a record that a purchase happened and what it was for. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use your information

  • To provide the Service: run your practice sessions, generate scores and feedback, and show you your history.
  • To operate and secure your account, prevent abuse, and send account emails such as verification and password resets.
  • To contact you personally about the Service, for example to ask for feedback or to discuss use by your school or organisation. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to that email.

We take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we hold accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used, and we rely on you to update your account information when it changes.

We do not use your practice recordings or transcripts to train AI models. We may also use your information to comply with legal obligations, to enforce our Terms of Service, and, in de-identified or aggregated form only, to improve the Service; when we de-identify information we take reasonable steps to ensure it cannot be re-identified.

We send marketing emails only with your consent, and every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link. For recipients in Canada, we comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): we send commercial electronic messages only with your express or implied consent, clearly identify ourselves as the sender, and process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Automated scoring

Your scores and feedback are generated entirely by automated means, using AI, with no human review. They are practice aids only: they are not used to make any decision about you outside the Service, and no school or admissions body receives them. If you would like to understand how a score was generated, or want a person to review a scoring concern, contact [email protected] and a person will respond. On request, we will tell you the personal information used to generate a score and the principal factors that led to it, and you may submit observations for a person to consider.

Service providers we share data with

To deliver a live voice experience, your audio and text are processed by trusted providers acting on our behalf:

  • LiveKit - real-time audio/video transport and session recording.
  • Deepgram - speech-to-text transcription.
  • ElevenLabs - the AI interviewer's voice.
  • Anthropic - generating station content and scoring your responses.
  • Cloudflare - hosting, storage, and security.
  • Google Analytics - website and app usage analytics. This covers which pages you visit and general activity such as starting or finishing a practice session. It never includes your recordings, transcripts, or scores.
  • Stripe - payment processing. Stripe collects your card details directly and handles the payment; we never receive them.
  • Meta, Reddit, and OpenAI - advertising measurement. See "Analytics and advertising" below for exactly what these receive.

These providers process your data only to provide their service to us, under terms that restrict further use. We do not sell your data to data brokers, we do not use your recordings to train AI models, and we never show your recordings or transcripts to any school or admissions body. The advertising platforms above work differently from the rest of this list, and "Analytics and advertising" below sets out exactly what they receive.

Where your information is stored and processed

Our service providers process and store data mainly in the United States and Canada. Your information, including recordings and transcripts, may therefore be stored and processed outside the province or country where you live, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under local law. Where we transfer personal information out of the United Kingdom, we rely on safeguards recognized under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy finding. For users in Quebec, we carry out the assessments Quebec law requires before communicating personal information outside Quebec.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the Service, so we can improve it. It sets cookies and collects the pages you visit, an approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and basic device and browser information. For Google Analytics specifically, we turn on IP anonymization and turn off Google's advertising and cross-device signals, so that data is not used to build a Google advertising profile of you.

We do advertise the Service, and we measure whether those ads work. To do that we run advertising pixels from Meta, Reddit, and OpenAI. When you load a page, create an account, or start a checkout, these pixels tell the relevant platform that the action happened, together with the identifiers that platform has already set in your browser and, for a checkout, the price of the pack you are buying. They never receive your recordings, transcripts, scores, or anything said during a practice session.

Those platforms may use this to attribute a signup to an ad, to build audiences, and to show you advertising elsewhere. Some privacy laws describe this kind of arrangement as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. No money changes hands for your data, we do not pass it to data brokers, and we do not advertise using anything you say or do inside a practice session.

You can block these cookies and pixels with your browser settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on, and you can change ad personalisation in your Meta, Reddit, and OpenAI account settings. Blocking them does not affect your ability to use the Service. Session cookies needed to keep you logged in are essential and cannot be turned off. If you are in the United Kingdom or another region that requires prior consent for cookies, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies and pixels through a cookie banner before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time. Where the law where you live treats the advertising described above as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, you can opt out at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Do not sell or share my personal information". We also honour opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account information is kept while your account is open and deleted within 90 days after your account closes. Practice recordings, transcripts, scores, and feedback are kept until you delete them or close your account, and in any event we delete or de-identify them 24 months after your last activity on the Service. Usage and technical data are kept for up to 24 months. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Copies may remain in secure backups for up to 90 days after deletion. You can delete your recordings and your account at any time in your account settings, or by emailing [email protected].

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw your consent to further collection, use, or disclosure, by contacting [email protected]. Because recordings are essential to running a practice session, if you withdraw your consent to recording you will no longer be able to use the practice feature, though you can still access your account and history. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time applicable law requires. You can also view your practice history in the app. Depending on where you live, you have the additional rights below.

Canada

We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in Quebec, you also have rights under Quebec's private-sector privacy law, including the right to receive computerized personal information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format.

United Kingdom

Where UK data protection law applies, we process your information on the following legal bases: performing our contract with you (running your account and sessions), your consent (recordings, and non-essential cookies and pixels), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service and measuring our advertising), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

United States

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You may use an authorized agent where your state's law allows it.

Who is responsible for your information

Tejas Natu, our privacy officer (and, for Quebec purposes, the person in charge of the protection of personal information), is accountable for our compliance with this policy. You can reach them at [email protected].

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe. If a breach of our security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the appropriate regulators, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and, where UK law applies, the Information Commissioner's Office, as the law requires.

Age

The Service is for users 18 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will close the account and delete the information. If you believe someone under 18 is using the Service, contact [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in advance, for example by email or by a notice in the Service.
