Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of ammino.ai (the "Service"), operated by Allygent Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information, including recordings of your practice sessions.
What ammino.ai is
ammino.ai is an AI practice tool for Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) preparation. It simulates practice interviews and generates feedback. It is not a real interview, and it is not admissions, career, medical, or legal advice. Scores and feedback are practice aids only - they are not predictions or guarantees of any real-world outcome. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any university, medical school, or admissions body.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. We may ask you to confirm your date of birth or provide proof of age at any time, and we may suspend or close any account where we have reason to believe the user is under 18. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure, for providing accurate information, and for verifying your email address.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, abusive, or harassing purpose;
- attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- use the Service to harm others or infringe their rights;
- use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service, or use the Service or its outputs to build a competing product; or
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Your account is yours alone
An account is for one person. You may not share your login or password with anyone, let another person use your account, or sell, transfer, or give away practice stations you have purchased. What you buy is personal to you.
If we determine that an account is being shared or that purchased stations are being resold, we may suspend or terminate the account, and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any unused balance is forfeited.
Practice stations and payment
The Service is sold as practice stations, which are pre-paid and used as you practise. You are charged for the time you actually use, so leaving a station early costs less than completing it. Your balance does not expire, is for your personal use only, is non-transferable, and has no cash value. New accounts receive a free allotment. We may change our prices at any time. Price changes apply only to future purchases and do not affect stations you have already purchased.
Prices are shown in US or Canadian dollars depending on your location, and applicable taxes are added at checkout. Except as set out in these Terms or as required by applicable consumer protection law (including any cancellation or refund rights that the law where you live gives you and does not allow us to exclude), all purchases are final and non-refundable. We may also issue a refund at our discretion on a case-by-case basis; contact [email protected] if you believe your situation warrants one.
How to cancel. If the consumer protection law that applies to you gives you a cancellation or refund right, you may exercise it by emailing [email protected] with your account details and the reason for your request. Where the law requires, we will process eligible cancellations and refunds within the applicable statutory period using your original payment method. A copy of these Terms is available in your account for you to retain, and we will email you a copy on request.
Recording
Practice sessions are recorded, including your voice and, where enabled, your video, so you can review them and so we can generate your transcripts, scores, and feedback. By starting a session, you expressly consent to being recorded and to the handling of those recordings described in our Privacy Policy. Do not bring another person into a session, and do not say anything you do not want recorded. See our Privacy Policy for how recordings are handled.
AI output - no guarantees
Feedback and scores are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Scoring is fully automated; no human reviews your sessions or your results. Do not rely on them as professional advice or as a prediction of admissions results. You remain responsible for your own preparation and decisions.
Intellectual property
We own the Service and its content, excluding your inputs. You keep ownership of your recordings, responses, and other content you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, including processing by the service providers named in our Privacy Policy. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, subject to limited backup copies kept for the period described in our Privacy Policy. If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use them without restriction or payment.
Your data, retention, and deletion
You may review and delete your recordings, and delete your account, at any time from your account settings or by contacting [email protected]. When you delete a recording or your account, we delete or de-identify the associated content within 30 days, except for limited backup copies, which are retained for no longer than 90 days and then deleted, and except where we must retain information to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce these Terms. We use the third-party service providers identified in our Privacy Policy (including our hosting, transcription, AI-processing, and payment providers) to deliver the Service, and we require them by contract to protect Your Content and not to use it to train AI models.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Allygent Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that applicable consumer protection law gives you and does not allow us to exclude, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) and, for users in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing excludes liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that liability cannot be excluded by law.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may perform maintenance that makes the Service temporarily unavailable. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and AI features may be unavailable from time to time. Features labelled beta, preview, or experimental are provided for evaluation and may be changed or withdrawn, and are offered as-is to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this paragraph limits any non-excludable consumer right described above.
Your responsibility to us
If your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service causes a third party to bring a claim against Allygent Inc., you agree to compensate us for the losses and reasonable costs that result, to the extent permitted by the law where you live.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Except where immediate action is needed to prevent harm, comply with law, or protect the Service or other users, we will give you notice of a suspension or termination for cause and, where the breach can be cured, a reasonable opportunity to fix it, and you may contact [email protected] to respond or appeal. If we terminate your account for cause, we will refund the unused portion of any stations you have purchased, except any amount lawfully forfeited under the account-sharing and resale terms above. If we discontinue the Service, or close your account other than for a violation of these Terms, we will give you reasonable advance notice and refund the unused portion of any stations you have purchased. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ontario have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service, except that where the law of your home jurisdiction gives you a non-waivable right to bring or defend a claim there, that right is preserved.
Resolving disputes
If you have a concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may pursue the matter in court as set out above. Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any non-waivable right to bring a claim, or to seek relief from a consumer protection authority, in your home jurisdiction.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect, for example by email or by a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may close your account and stop using the Service.
General
Entire agreement, severability, assignment, and waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided your rights under these Terms are not reduced.
Electronic communications. You agree that we may provide notices and communications to you electronically, including by email to the address on your account or by a notice within the Service, and that these satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or hosting outages, failures of third-party providers, natural disasters, labour disputes, or government actions.
Sanctions and export. You represent that you are not located in, and will not access or use the Service from, a country subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not on any applicable sanctions or restricted-parties list.
Third-party links. The Service may reference or link to third-party websites and resources that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.
